Tutorial: A very basic website - Create your first page

Now you you're going to creat a web page based on the template you've just finished.

Steps

Open Content Manager (Content → Content Manager).
Click the Add New Content link.

Main tab:
In the Title field choose: Page 1.
In the Content field type: Some sample text for page 1.

Navigation tab:
In the Menu Text field choose: Page 1.
In the Description field type: Description for page 1.

Options tab:
Verify that in the Template the default template Basic demo - 1 is selected.

Click the Submit button.
In Content Manager toggle the grey check mark for Page 1 to make it the default page of this website.
Delete the Home Page that was created on install of CMS Made Simple.

Browse to the home page of your website (front end).

Note that you can quickly browse to a specific web page by clicking on the blue computer screen icon next to the page name in Content Manager.

Verify that the body of the web page contains the sample text you've added earlier. Also verify that the title in the browser tab shows Basic demo
